Okay, Jolene, you are right...I am whining! :) And you are right about the cheese part too! Actually, though, I am grateful for the onset of winter it usually stops those nerves from acting up so much.

Kathi, it is a bit warmer here in southern Indiana but the cool weather and rain has arrived. I hope it is the start of fall and not winter. ERGyrl, keep that cold weather in Canuck land as we don't want it yet.

Mark,

I used to make trips to Louisville all the time so I know what you are talking about. I can remember thinking that you guys, I think, are about two weeks behind us in the changing colors of the leaves. Anyway, speaking of fall versus winter, I think winter is here because just about every darn leaf blew off my trees yesterday! :) I REALLY want to get to Nashville/Bloomington and do some fall shopping and to just look at the trees! It is so pretty there in the Fall.

And, I don't mind the cold but keep the WHITE STUFF those of you in Canada LOL!

Oh, and Mark, quick question. I asked this on another post but I need to know if it safe to take Miralax every day? My gastro guy says yes, but the RX says only two weeks.

Thanks!

I think Canada's cold weather came to central Columbus and caused the tornadoes again. Weird weather lately for sure!!!

Longdogs4ever,

You probably got the darn winds we had yesterday and it moved your way! I feel like there is a tornado going on right now as we are having a new roof put on due to hail damage last spring. One of my dogs is trembling and wants me to hold her and the other one wants to run out and beat up all the construction dudes! Anyway, it is sunny here now...but COLD! I guess I will get no rest today LOL!

Hey Jolene,

I have had a crew of guys working ALL day on my roof! It is now almost 8:00 pm and they are still out there!!! I want to take a bath but I can't because the skylights are in my bathrooms and I can't have those dudes cruising by up there LOL! I felt sorry for them this morning though...it was so cold that I took them out a pot of coffee. Of course they didn't understand a word I said, but they liked the hot coffee!

I cant believe all the snow!!!!

Kathi49- I have dogs like that too. One is a big baby afraid of everything, and another who thinks hes the terminator. They keep me sane I think, the help with pain relief for me too. Weird i know.....:o

All I can say is...keep the white stuff! I am NOT ready for that yet LOL!

Longdogs4ever,

Too funny! Yep, the female I have is a big baby but at times thinks she is tough. The male is as loveable as he can be but thinks he is German Shepard! You are right though...they help with pain. When they lie on my feet during the winter time I don't mind at all...I don't even want them to move LOL! The sad but cute thing is...when I was in such bad pain before, the female must have sensed it. She would not leave my side to go and eat and made herself sick. So, I would have to get up and go downstairs just so she would eat. They are handfuls but great companions and therapeutic too so I know what you mean!

Wow, I know exactly how you feel there, my oldest dog is like my very best friend ever, he always knows when I hurt. He even predicted the tornadoes in my area. Animals are all knowing imho. He gives me major cuddle time. Bassets are like that though...:)

Sorry bout offf topic.

Its about 31 degrees out today. I am not ready for this at all.:(

Just for Kathi I wish for 3 foot of s---.... (sand) What did you think I was going to say? :p :D

Kathi49
10-14-2006, 07:12 AM
Jolene,

Oh, please don't wish the s--- on me! Hey, that could be interpreted a little differently LOL! But to be nice...no, don't wish the SNOW on me! When I was in my teens I'd love to get out in drive in it just to see if I could get from point A to point B. Oh, well, young and stupid LOL! Now, when I see a snowflake I say, "OMG! I can't go anywhere!" Actually, the fear is there that if the roads are slick, I am NOT going out and chance wrecking my neck any more than it already is. Thank you very much but I think I will hibernate.

Longdogs4ever,

I have two Shih Tzus. So, when it snows, it is hilarious to watch them out there in about a foot of it. I am sure the same thing holds true with your Bassets. Both our dogs are just too low to the ground to handle it very well, but mine love the snow!

Awww I love Shitz-zu's(sp?) Mine love the snow also. One of mine is a rescue so he hopps around in it cause he really cant walk through it.. Their bellies def drag the ground.

It seems to have warmed up here a little in central ohio. For how long? no-one knows.

Thank you! I love 'em too! Awww...poor little rescue guy! But that is sweet. I have often thought of having the male I have become a therapy dog because his personality is so sweet. But the dude wants to jump on everyone so that won't work LOL.

Things are warming up in Indiana too...but it is cloudy. Tomorrow, I think, rain...so get ready...it will be headed your way.
