Anyone have nose problems?

RSD initially in right wrist, then I started to have face, ear nose probems. My nose feels cold, on the INSIDE! And I have had a sore in it for about 3 mos that doesn't want to heal. Ears/nose/throat Doc. said the sore is from an ingrown hair and to put a salve on it....it hasn't helped. Do you think the RSD has spread to my nose? My throat feels like a lump is in there, ears/nose/throat thinks it is reflux, on meds for that and it isn't going away. And the same doc. said ears look ok, that maybe it is TMJ...(I didn't get a good feeling that he knew anything about RSD) Thanks for any insight!

I just read your posting and feel the same way you do about your nose. I have had a sore just inside my right nostril for about two months now that just will not go away. I had noticed in the past that when I used Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray for any kind of sinus congestion I would wind up getting the same type of closed sore. I think I used it once about two months ago and it came back again but ONLY in the right side nostril as always. I don't know about you but I am starting to think the nasal sprays are doing it. I try to use a saline spray whenever I feel congested and that does help but a few months ago I had some sinus problems and used it and now it won't go away. I saw an ENT doctor two weeks ago and he didn't seem to think it was anything. If it starts to bleed or changes in color you might want to quickly get to a dermatologist to have them check it out...it may not be a bad idea to do that now if you haven't already. Good luck with it. I am hoping here in Pennsylvania that once the weather gets warmer my nose will clear up. [Also, my new neighbors that moved into the apt. next to me are smoking cigarettes and my asthma and sinuses are going crazy]. Best of luck to you.

I haven't used any nasal sprays Kathy..but our nose problems sound similar for sure. All my head problems, including the sore in nose in on the right side. The inside coldness still continues and now...in the middle of my nose, outside on the bridge, my nose starts to vibrate....there isn't any pain..it just twitches real fast. Kind of bothersome like a twitchy eye. Weird...at least I am glad to hear someone else out there is going through a similar thing! I have a doc appt this week...will see what they have to say.

I was dx about 4 yrs ago rsd left shoulder arm and neck but for about 2 yrs I have been having issues with that side of my face not so much pain but a general weirdness. I get spasms in my eyelid, cheek, and half of my lips and that creepy crawly feeling in skin. At first i thought it was something else lol but the other night I had an rsd attack like I had never had before. I thought I was having a toothache because I had popcorn between my teeth and couldn't get it out. Then the pain went across my face, into my ear, down my neck and down my arm. Every breath I took felt like being impaled with an icicle retracing the nerves through my teeth all the way down to my fingers. This rsd had not made me scream in pain until that night. So I would want to speak to pain mgmt about it asap.

Ouch!...that sounds horrrible! Did you make an appt with your Doc? Let us know what he says.
I saw my Doc concerning nose and other things....he is contradicting issues that another Doc said and changed some meds. We didn't get to the nose part, so maybe next time. Sad that we get 7-10 minutes with the Docs, when we have so many issues.

Yes, I have had a sore in my nose for about 2 months now. I just keekp putting neosporin on it, but it doesn't seem to heal it for long. I have also experienced eye twitching....it seems to be gone now, but I noticed it for about 6months last year. I never even thought about it being part of RSD. Is there anyone in authority to comment on this?
