so i've been doing the sub q ig for two months and i wanted to let you guys know how it was going. finding out which sites or places i infuse has been interesting. someplaces sound good, like my hip, but my seat belt pressed against it so i skip that spot now. at first it took me about ten minutes to get everything set up, but now it takes maybe a minute. i seperated all the stuff into little bags of everything i need for one treatment so i'm not fishing through the whole box. now as far as mg symtoms, after my loading dose (the first week, i did five days straight) i felt a little weaker, not bad enough to take anything, just more tired then i had been, on the daybefore my infusion(sunday) that lasted for two or three weeks and my doc thought about uping it to every five days vs seven but then it didn't happen the next week or since so we have stuck with once a week. the mental side of things has been very strange. at first it was like a holiday, the ivig aways faded so i still had that hurry up and get it done while you can mind set. i have had to get use to being able to just go to the store when ever i want, for so long just going to the store was a big deal. was i strong enough to walk in and around, could i make it bakc to the car, who would bring the groceries in the house was there anything i needed to do later, because there was no way i would have the strength if i went to the store first. all stuff i know you guys have delt with too. now its no big deal. its weird. another ajustment but a good one. i hope everyone can find a treatment that works as good as the sub q ig is working for me. still no other drugs at all. i'm getting more active everyday. as it turns out, i did not get the body back that i gave mg. but i can do 30-40 minutes on the treadmill or stairstepper every night and lefting wights again, playing onthe trampoline and walking the kids to the park. all amazing. so any questions on the sub q ig just send my way and i hope everyone has a stronger day tomorrow!
