What the Heck?

For the past couple hours Allie has been leading me to the bedrooms and telling me to go to sleep. I took a nap earlier, while her sisters watched her. My first thought is that she wanted to get into something and wanted me out of the way. But, she's just watching her video, so, I dunno. Strange! Usually, she wants me to stay with her so I can wait on her needs.

my boy does something similar sending me for a ginger ale. whenever i tried to get him involved in math or spelling. i said, do this first, then...:D

Upon further reflection, I think she overheard me saying I needed to go to the store. She probably wanted to make sure I stayed here.

Maybe she just is replaying the nap scenario. I'm not sure exactly what I'm thinking here, but something along the lines of her trying to assimilate the idea of mom taking a nap, and/or mom taking a nap while she's doing something else. Maybe she was okay during that time and she's rehearsing how it was to survive mom not available while she's still close enough to be a present comfort? I dunno. perhaps way off base.

is it unusual for you to take a nap while she's up? or did she just have tooooo much fun making messes while you weren't there to monitor? who knows, maybe she had fun with her sisters and wants to do more of that and thinks you have to be napping for that to happen. Myabe she just feels good about the freedom to be herself on her own, without mom supplying the oversight.

then again, maybe she DID just want to keep you there.

I'm learning that while some of DS's motives and purposes I had analysed correctly...I'm also off-base on so many. I just miss the boat....by seeing through my ignorant nt eyes.

did you try pretending to take nap to see what she would do?
