Hi everyone,
Mom is finally getting back to her old self(yipee)! She had a set back a few days ago and when I made the staff aware that she was acting differently, they got a CT scan of her head and the ventricles were larger, so they turned her shunt back on and I also asked if they could take her off the morphine and they did. She walked with help yesterday and knew the date, year everything! She didn't know this a few days ago. So....today they reevaluated her for rehab and she will be going tomorrow, they have a great rehab program and a floor just for Neuro patients, she needs to get walking better and they will help her with speech, she knows what she wants to say sometimes but can't spit out the word, it doesn't happen too often but when it does she gets frustrated. I just can believe the change in her, I haven't seem her like this in months, and honestly didn't know if she would get better even after surgery. She is now flirting with her Dr.'s and telling them how "pretty" they are, reading and best of all laughing! Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes! We have been blessed.
