Thanks to Maryevelyn for letting us know that this was back up and running, its great to be back here also, even though I do not post often, I do look in most days.

Lara my family have been over here from Australia, stayed with us a week, now moved onto more family, its been fantastic seeing them after 23 years, they live in Brisbane, and are trying to get us to go over there to see them, but do not know if my son can make a 26 hour flight, we asked him and his answer was well I sit at my computer for that many hours (not), we shall see in couple of years need to save first.

Maybe now all the celebrations are over I will find more time to get on here, we had two weeks of them arriving my DH 60th birthday been fantastic leading what I can only say is a more normal lifestyle, now we are back into my sons routine once more, I shall miss the company.

Glad to see so many familier faces.

I'm here too, just hoping we get our old RDI threads back though. If not it will be hard to recreate that old enthusiasm since we're not really doing much in the way of RDI these days, but that doesn't mean it didn't help Jackie. I fully believe it helped a lot. Great to see everyone. :D

Hi Susan, great to see you again. It is a very long flight I know. If you do decide to visit, make it for a longer visit, 'cause it's way too far to travel for just a short time. Your family are living in a great place and climate. You'd love it! I know what you mean about routine too. My son thrives on routine. We're on school holidays now (spring) for 2 weeks. That's not as bad as the xmas holidays where we have 8 or so weeks. Getting back into routine after that is usually pretty difficult.

Guess I should introduce myself, I will be hanging out for a while too.
My name is Thea, I live in Florida and I have four kids - two of whom are autistic spectrum - they are boys age nine and fourteen. I don't worry about the fourteen year old so much anymore, he's pretty high functioning and things get better with him every year. My nine year old, though, definitely a source of chronic worry for us, but we are doing our best. My other two kids are a seven year old boy, and a 22 year old girl, who is in the navy and going on her second deployment to the gulf region this week. So proud of all of them!
Anyway, my boys special problems are what brought me here to this board, which has been a lot of help over the years. So thanks for that... and see ya around!

I am at work!! Of course I don't have time to post. Haven't had more than a minute to myself since the weekend.

BTW... I have about 100 canadian geese outside my window right now!:eek: They seem to be taking over the grounds at my facility. Don't seem to want to go to Canada... since I can safely say they have been here at least a year. Whats up with that anyway?
We are thinking they could be the new national bird... replace that poor old turkey if you know what I mean.

I'm back too. Missed all of you. It was a busy summer. Wally's Dad spent the summer modifying our 20 year old motor home so that we could take Wally to Maine as he requested. He seemed happy to be there and we returned home safely.
